Optimum filament positions within a MgB2 wire resulting in maximum reduction of AC losses

Transport current capability of MgB $_{2}$ multifilamentary wires is intrinsically affected by the self and mutual magnetic inductance between superconducting filaments, which a problem that depends on geometrical distribution filaments. Any rise this interaction can cause an increase in AC losses system, counteracts efficiency wire rises cryogenics costs. Thus, order to reduce finding optimal arrangement we present comprehensive study for positioning up 7 13 filament configurations as common benchmarks. Varying positions filaments within copper matrix has shown remarkable reduction 60 $\%$ standard losses, phenomenon have explained function calculated distributions density field new designs. Likewise, sudden with concentric arrangements been found under certain configurations, where saturation outer notorious losses. This reveals how some designs show enhanced energy loss characteristics whilst maintaining same transport conditions if proper conceived prior its manufacturing.
